In a political climate where arts funding is being stripped away, our response is clear: resist through creation. The Art of Resistance is more than a theme, it’s our mission. It honors the dancers, culture bearers, and communities who persist and uplift each other through the power of movement and story.

Resistance is future-building for all of us.

Art That Heals, Culture That Endures — Supported by Community.

Dancers Unlimited needs your support. Due to government funding cuts, we’re relying on community help to keep our dance, cultural, and storytelling programs accessible for all. Since 2009, we’ve offered Furlough Friday classes, Native Hawaiian land stewardship, National Dance Week Hawai‘i, and cross-cultural collaborations in NYC, Hawai‘i, and abroad.

This year, Edible Tales—rooted in food justice and movement—brought communities together from Hawai‘i, NYC, and Brazil, and our Governors Island residency uplifted Pacific Island artists and community storytelling. All our programs remain free or pay-what-you-can, thanks to community donations.

We need to raise $20,000 by November 30th to sustain our core team and keep essential programs thriving. Your tax-deductible gift directly supports intergenerational, justice-centered dance and cultural exchange.

Give today to keep Dancers Unlimited moving forward—your support truly helps us nurture community, empower artists, and share stories that matter.
