MoveMeant
MoveMEANT events are collaborative and unique experiences designed for 3 purposes:
1. to facilitate community dialogues around social justice and cultural values
2. to explore important ideas by creating authentic moveMEANT narratives that originate from the self
3. to create powerful moveMEANT purpose and momentum for social change
Rooted in the belief that dance is a powerful tool for resilience and progress, MoveMEANT events are facilitated as movement / dance workshops, panel discussions, and travel programs.
No dance experience necessary and all abilities are welcome. Custom experiences can be created to address community needs and objectives.

Dancers Unlimited hosted an intercultural panel discussion and community workshop / performance at Honolulu Biennial 2019. The panel discussion explored moveMEANT as sources for cultural identity and resilience through personal and professional lenses. The community workshop was open to all ages and dance abilities, with a focus on examining our identities and how knowing our “CORE” creates CORE-ography as a collective.
