Allyssa Trujillo

Allyssa Trujillo is a multidisciplinary dancer from Gallup, New Mexico, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Coming from a mixed cultural and dance background, she is known for her polychromatic identity, versatility, and dynamic stage presence. Allyssa holds a BA in Dance from the University of New Mexico and has 16+ years of experience in various dance forms including contemporary, hip hop, waacking, and pole dance. Allyssa’s most notable roles include starring as “Foxy” in the all-indigenous musical, Bear Grease (NYC/Canada), representing Waacking Team USA at Queen of Disco 2025 in Guangzhou, China, modeling and dancing at New York Indigenous Fashion Week 2026 and SWAIA Native Fashion Week 2024 (NM), curating shows at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, performing immersive theater at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival (TN) and Meow Wolf Santa Fe, and teaching at Konaway Nika Tillicum (OR), MĀORILAND (New Zealand), and Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts (NM). 

Allyssa considers her artistry to be a montage of her lived experience, family, community, and ancestors. She has found solace and belonging through dance and believes in sharing her art to connect and foster unity, healing, and a world of vibrant creativity and culture. Allyssa is currently working towards her MS in Dance/Movement Therapy at Pratt Institute.
